12. The Philippine Eagle
I spent several days exploring the mountains of the Philippines in search of this majestic bird of prey, and I finally managed to capture a photo of it at a rescue center.
The Philippine Eagle is famous for having one of the largest wingspans of any raptor, reaching up to 2 meters, and it is exclusively found in the Philippine islands, making it the country’s national bird.
The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) has classified it as Critically Endangered.
